What To Do In Sandy Utah

While you're waiting for your vehicle to be serviced or new car paperwork to finalize here are a few spots close by that we recommend you visit. Great service, wonderful ambiance and of course spectacular Mexican food! Los Cucos is a local favorite and loved by all. Try the A La Cucos Carnitas! Their stuff jalapeños are definitely worth a try as well.

REI

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, or just like good brands of clothing like Columbia, NorthFace, Kuhl, etc. this is the place for you! Not feel adventurous? One visit to REI will change your mind. With all of their gear for hiking, camping, rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing, snowboarding and basically every adventure ever - it's hard to not be inspired. 

South Towne Mall 
Located on the corner of 106000 S. and State Street. This is the local mall. Packed with all your mall favorites! Forever 21, Vans, Dillards and more! This gem even has an indoor carousel! If you've got time to kill, this is a great place.
South Towne Shopping
Nordstrom Rack, Bed, Bath & Beyond, DSW Designer Shoe and more! This strip mall has a great variety of fantastic shopping. Not to mention there is also a great variety of food available. Whether you're looking for sweets, lunch or dinner you can find it here.
Entertainment
The Living Aquarium
If you want to be amazed, this is the place to go. Recently renovated, this incredible exhibit is stunning through and through. Well worth a visit. 
This theater is a part of Sandy City History. In it's place stood the original Jordan Common high school, built in 1908. When the building was condemned, Larry bought it and told the community he would build something in it's place where people could still visit, still create memories in their youth and with their loved ones. The front of the theater has an exact replica of the old school staircase. Jordan Commons not only has the history, but the cutting edge cinema technology to make this an unforgettable experience.
If you have some time to kill, this rock climbing gym is a blast. You can rent a harness, shoes and a belay device there, so no worries if you don't have any with you! If you haven't been climbing before they can teach you how to use the equipment and be safe. Fun for the whole family. 
 
Parks & Outdoor
Amphitheater Park
This delightful park is located at the top of Quarry Bend Development offering a wonderful view of the valley.  Amphitheater park covers 16 acres, and includes; an outdoor covered pavilion, restrooms, and a playground.  The park also has a 3/4 mile jogging/walking path. The path will connect you to the 1.7 mile path that surrounds the Quarry Bend Development.
Highpoint Park

This is a fun park! It has one softball field and utility play field, two tennis courts, a playground and basketball 1/2 court.  This lovely place has an outdoor lighted pavilion and contains 12 picnic tables. If you're looking for a place to slow down and enjoy the weather, this is a great place. 
Lone Peak Park
The 2nd largest developed park in the Sandy Parks System. In other words, this place is loaded! Lone Peak Park has: a skate park, indoor pavilion, 3 outdoor lighted pavilions, 3 full sized soccer fields, 2 baseball/softball fields, score keepers building, concession stand, 2 playgrounds , 1 basketball court and a walking/jogging path surrounding the park.
